Refund Policy

1. Overview

SRS Deutsch offers subscription-based access to premium features. This policy outlines our approach to refunds and subscription cancellations. We aim to be fair and transparent in all billing matters.

2. Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription tiers:

  • Free - $0/forever - Basic access with limited daily AI usage
  • Basic - $1/month - Increased limits for regular learners
  • Full Access - $5/month - Maximum limits and vocabulary-controlled examples

3. Refund Eligibility

We may provide refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Technical issues prevented you from using the Service, and our support team could not resolve them
  • You were accidentally charged multiple times for the same subscription period
  • The charge was unauthorized (fraud) - please also contact your bank

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact us via email with your account email address and details of the issue
  2. Include the date of charge, amount, and reason for the refund request
  3. Our team will review your request within 5 business days
  4. If approved, refunds will be processed through Stripe to your original payment method

Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not provided for:

  • Partial months of service after cancellation
  • Change of mind after using the Service
  • Periods where you actively used premium features
  • Account termination due to violation of our Terms of Service

6. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings in the application
  2. Click "Manage Subscription" in the Usage section
  3. You'll be redirected to the Stripe billing portal
  4. Follow the prompts to cancel your subscription

After cancellation, you'll retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your account will then revert to the Free tier, and all your learning data will be preserved.

7. Stripe Billing Portal

Through the Stripe billing portal, you can:

  • View and download past invoices
  • Update your payment method
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Upgrade or downgrade your subscription tier

8. Prorated Refunds and Plan Changes

When you upgrade your subscription, you'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period - we do not provide prorated refunds for downgrades.

9. Billing Disputes

If you believe there's an error on your bill, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We're happy to work with you to resolve any billing issues. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension.
